I saved so much money staying at the Creole Inn I was able to go eat at some wonderful places. It was so close to the French Quarter you could easily walk there or you could choose to explore the very unique Maringy district. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in my life and the house was alive with character.

LOVED OUR STAY AT THE CREOLE INN IN LATE MARCH. We were in the Sweet Dreams suite with good friends, and it was just perfect. Gayl is a lovely innkeeper, and the place is so welcoming. We feel that we have found our go-to hotel in New Orleans! We love the neighborhood, too. If you go, do not miss The Cake Bakery. Wonderful.

This was my second trip to New Orleans, and my husbands first. We had a wonderful time and just loved the suite, and being with the 'locals'. The walk to Bourbon Street was nice and full of wonderful old houses and local flare. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in January. We had an excellent rate of $45 a night. It was outstanding - clean rooms, soft towels, in-room fridge, 24 hour access to a microwave, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, fresh baked breads at breakfast, and a friendly, knowledgeable innkeeper (Gayl). All this, and we were in a safe neighborhood just 10-14 minutes from the French Quarter. You can't ask for more! This will be our FIRST choice for lodging the next time we return to New Orleans, wish we'd known about the Creole Inn years ago!

This post is a little late...but better late than never, right? My boyfriend and I visited NOLA for Thanksgiving '09. It was such a wonderful experience. Our visit was so much better for having stayed at the Creole Inn. It's on the edge of the French Quarter, less than a 10 minute walk to the heart of it. Expect coziness and a friendly atmosphere. The beds were super comfy...so much so that we never did make it for morning coffee downstairs. No need to bring shampoo, soap, or towels as all that's provided. Something we actually thought was pretty cool was watching a VHS tape on the TV/VCR combo in the room after a tiring day walking and drinking up NOLA. What a throwback! We bumped into Silas the owner as well and enjoyed talking to him about his plans for the renovation of the Inn. Trust me...it's going to look phenomenal! Don't expect something fancy, stay here for the simplicity...and the price can't be beat! This is where we are staying for sure when we return to NOLA.
